Kim Victoria Cattrall (born August 21st, 1956) is an actress from Canada and the United Kingdom. best known for her role in the role of Samantha Jones in the HBO series Sex and the City for which she was awarded five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations winning the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. The character was reprised in two of the Sex and the City films (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2009). In the 80s she played lead roles on the television show Police Academy Big Trouble Little China Mannequin as well as Porky's. Talk of Kim Cattrall and the first thought that comes to mind is her part as Samantha Jones in the popular HBO television comedy Sex & the City. The well-known actress' performance as Samantha Jones has been a significant event in her career. It was not only popular with viewers in her native country, but it also made her a global star. Anita Ekberg...................Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actress who appeared in several European as well as American films. The most famous of her roles was the actress in La Dolce Vita in the comedy film. It won an Oscar and received the Golden Palm in Cannes Film Festival in 1960. It was also critical and commercially highly acclaimed. Prior to her first acting gig as a model, she worked as a Swedish fashion model. She eventually won the Miss Sweden contest. She moved to the US, and began appearing in multiple movies in minor roles. She played in the film Venusian Guard on Abbott and Costello Go to Mars, her first credit role. The following year, after appearing as an unproven newcomer for the film Blood Alley she was awarded the Golden Globe in the most promising category.
